A message from Headteacher, Mrs Elise Piper-Hadfield
Hello and welcome to Longford CofE Primary School, a small church school, where children are placed at the centre of everything we do.
We pride ourselves upon the strong relationships that exist amongst the whole school community, as well as the opportunities children are given to make their own improvements to the school. We have a Pupil Leadership Team, which consists of a group of children who work with myself and governors to develop the vision for the school.
Our core values of empathy, respect, kindness, cooperation and resilience are central to everything we do and this is clear to see throughout school life, as well as through our diverse and engaging curriculum, which enables all children to develop a love of learning.
Our school motto is ‘time to learn, time to care, time for fun’ and visitors to Longford will find this a true reflection of the pupils’ day-to-day experiences of school. Children are dedicated to their learning and show great care towards one another, which results in enthusiastic children who are able to have fun, as well as achieve their full potential through appropriate levels of support and challenge.
We also acknowledge the importance of children’s wellbeing at Longford and how it impacts upon learning experiences. Children are taught that we learn from our mistakes and that this is where the greatest opportunities for learning take place. Every child is seen as individual and their differences are supported and celebrated.
